All the Threes Cycle Challenge

Story

I'm Nick Baker, Marketing Officer at ECHO and I'm taking part in ECHO Herefordshire's All the Threes Challenge to mark the charity's 33rd birthday. I am undertaking 3 lots of 33 and one third mile cycle rides between July and September, making a grand total of 100 miles.

The first leg will take place in Greece during my holiday. It will be a gruelling and hot ride from Parga to Syvota.

The second will be in the UK on Sunday 30th July, cycling round a 33 and one third route around the villages near Leominster. On this occasion, my son Louis will be joining me on a tandem bike and this will be the furthest he has ever cycled. With us will also be Chris Blum, one of ECHO's Trustees.

The final leg will take place in September in Spain, again during my holiday. This trip across the Sierra Nevada will be hot and mountainous but I will endure and complete my challenge for this wonderful and important local charity.

ECHO is an independent,  Herefordshire-based charity with 230 members and over 150 volunteers. Our main office is in Leominster but our projects run in many different community based venues.

In 2020 we proudly celebrated 30 years of making a difference to the lives of disabled people in the county.

Most of our activities are suitable for people with moderate or severe learning difficulties, but we will try to support anyone who wishes to take part in our activities, including those with mental health difficulties and physical or sensory impairments.
