Story

Letty Flynn is a well known and well liked member of staff at ECHO Herefordshire. She's in charge of Social and Leisure activities which give our participants the chance to learn life skills and build their confidence.

One of these activities is a trip to Barry Island on Wednesday 26th July - a resort famous as a location in the TV hit Gavin and Stacey. Everyone will be travelling by train and, for some of them, this will be the first time they have bought a ticket and used public transport.

As well as train fares to and from, she also needs a fund to be able to buy fish and chips, ice cream, fun fare rides, so everyone can make the best of the day.

There are quite a few people going, so she reckons it will cost about £250 in all.

In order to raise funds, Letty is planning to go mad and have her hair dyed multicoloured on Saturday 22nd July from 10.00am onwards outside the ECHO shop in West Street. Anyone can come along to help create her new "rainbow" look.

A donation of £10 will buy a portion of fish and chips, £5 will help demolish an ice cream and about £30 will pay for most of the train fare for each participant. So will you support Letty and her multicoloured hairdo to raise the funds for a well deserved day out? We do hope so because every single donation will make a real difference.  Thanking you in anticipation.
